Simple Basic Potholder
I made this potholder 5 or 6 years ago and found during sort out the old things, so I want to share the pattern with you, which is very easy.
MATERIALS:

Cotton Yarn: 1 Ball of 50 grams
Crochet Hook Size: 3 mm OR 3.50 MM
You can use any type of yarn and size of hooke. You can also use scrap yarn for this potholder.

CH ( s )= chain(s )
EA = each
HDC = half double crochet
LP( s) = loop( s)
SC = single crochet
SL ST = slip stich
ST ( s) = stich (s)
INSTRUCTIONS:
Ch 31 or 41.
Row 1: Sc in 2nd ch from hook, sc in ea ch ( 30, 40 sts). Ch, turn.
Row 2: sc in ea st to end.( work only in back lps).
Repeat row 2 40 times or desire length.
EDGE:
Row 1: Sc in ea st , 3 sc in last st ( to make corner), repeat 3 more times.( do not work in back loops).
Repeat row 1 , 2 more times. Ch 15 in last st ( corner), sl st in 1st ch, sl st in every ch. Cut yarn and weave in.
